Join us for the second of four workshops in the 2010 Making a Living in the Life Sciences Series. During this two-hour event, Caroline Sallee of Anderson
Economic Group, will be sharing an overview of the types of businesses defined as the “life sciences industry” in Michigan. Since 1999, employment and wages in this industry have grown while many other industries have seen severe declines
in employment.
Event Learning Outcomes:
- Learn more about the life sciences industry in Michigan
- Find out where the new business opportunities will be developing
- Highlight the employment and wages of this industry, and the change in employment and
wages between 1999 and 2007.
- Review some of the
findings of Caroline's research done for the University Research Corridor
(Michigan
State, Wayne State, and University of Michigan).
- Outline many new technologies, products and companies that have come out of the URC.
The event will also feature a peek into what one pioneering group, the Medical Mile Resource Group, is doing to position themselves as the
"go-to" business resource for established, evolving, or emerging organizations. Join our dedicated action to turn a mile of inspiration into miles of opportunities for businesses like yours.
